Working together for Cumbria

Yesterday Trudy Harrison, John Stevenson, Rory Stewart, Clark Vasey, James Airey and I sat down to discuss the next six weeks, and how we can best work together to deliver for the people of Cumbria.

It would be so much easier to make the case for genuine change for the people of Barrow and Furness if Cumbrian MPs worked better together. Because they don't, I don't believe that Barrow and Furness, or Cumbria, gets a fair shake. All too often, we're forgotten.

In Trudy, John, Rory, Clark, James and I we have a strong and united team with common purpose - celebrating Cumbria, putting it on the Government’s map, and delivering the kind of improvements to our schools, hospitals and infrastructure that have been talked about for years but not delivered.

We have so much to be proud of here. I hope that this team gets elected and we have the opportunity to work together to shout about it to the wider world.
