Roose Library serves a very special community.

Following the fire which left the library in disrepair earlier this year, there has been little to no update regarding its future, nor a temporary provision put in place similar to that provided in Ulverston when an electrical fault was discovered in its library.

Aside from being a place to borrow books, the library is essential for people requiring valuable services such as reading groups, talks or accessing the internet and a photocopier. As excellent as Barrow Library is, for many it is too far to travel.

I am continuing to lobby the Council over the closures of both libraries but to support this campaign, I need you to add your voices to mine and show them just how important Roose library is to you and the wider community.

Fill in my survey below and let me know your thoughts. I will pass these on to the Council so that they understand just how important this issue is to local people, and raise the issue at the highest levels in Parliament.
