Trading while protecting our food and environmental standards

People from countries around the world, and here at home, choose to buy British because they trust our produce.

Earlier today, I pressed the Secretary of State for International Trade for assurances that our high standards for food and the environment will be maintained, if we move to a major post-Brexit Pacific trade pact, as announced today by the Government.

I welcomed the Secretary of State’s confirmation that our high standards will be maintained.
