Letter to Angela Jones, Cumbria County Council

We’ve been working together as a group of Cumbrian Conservative MPs on a range of issues, including road, rail, and cycling and walking infrastructure across our county.

As we recover from the current pandemic, getting Cumbrian’s fit, healthy and well will form a large part of our local recovery. To aid this, cycling and walking are clearly recognised by all as not only an environmentally friendly way of getting around our beautiful county but, also a great way of keeping fit and healthy.

I co-signed a letter to the County Council’s Assistant Director for the Economy and Infrastructure, lending our support to the County Council’s active travel aspirations, and calling on the County Council to work together with us, so that we can be united in our campaign to improve our active travel offer in Cumbria.
