Thank you.

What a day!

Almost 3,500 people attended our Jobs and Skills Conference today, stopping by many of the 50+ stands, attending workshops, taking part in activities, and speaking to potential employers, skills providers, and volunteer organisations.

HUGE thanks to my amazing team for all the work they did to put this event together, the brilliant folk at The Forum and Holiday Inn Express for hosting us, and DWP and Inspira for working in partnership with us.

This wouldn’t have come together without the support of our core sponsors, Carlton Power, MSH Healthcare, CLEP, Stagecoach, Spirit Energy, and Associated British Ports, who enabled us to run buses through the day to 10 local schools.

Thank you to everyone who exhibited, ran a workshop, gave a talk, lent support and volunteered, brought students over, and also to all who attended. You were the ones who made this day what it was.

Thank you! 👏🏻

Jobs & Skills Conference

Thursday 12th October 2023

One conference: two local venues

The Forum & Holiday Inn Express, Barrow in Furness

Come to our Jobs and Skills Conference this October where we are partnering once again with the DWP and Inspira to bring together an event to promote local jobs, local businesses, and career pathways.

We are building on last year’s event with more involvement from schools and colleges, guest speakers and lots more exhibitors.

This year we will be holding the conference across two sites in the centre of Barrow: The Forum, and the Holiday Inn Express!

You can sign up for the different aspects of the event on our Eventbrite Page here:

Alternatively, you can contact my office directly at: natalie.ardron@parliament.uk

I hope to see you at the Conference and look forward to you getting in touch about this exciting event.
