Welcome to Ulverston’s Life-science & Advanced Manufacturing Park (LAMP), situated overlooking the dramatic Morecambe Bay landscape and just less than 5 miles from the Lake District National Park.

This site will be a catalyst for regeneration and create a landscape driven campus of excellence with a focus on life sciences and advanced manufacturing, bringing new, high value jobs to Ulverston and building on the rich history of manufacturing within the Furness Peninsula.

With 12ha of development land available around the current 30ha pharmaceutical production facility, Ulverston LAMP is ideally placed to attract diverse industries to the area, promote innovation among established businesses and start-ups, and link to our excellent and growing local academic offer.

This vision is being driven by the Ulverston LAMP Working Group, made up of key local stakeholders, and we are seeking to grow this partnership to include national skills from the life sciences and advanced manufacturing experts within Government.

Ulverston LAMP will be the anchor for a new and expanding hub of life sciences, renewable energy, research and advanced manufacturing businesses. It will also build on the significant government investment going into the BAE Systems shipyard in Barrow towards the national defence endeavour.
